Newcastle United are interested in signing Raheem Sterling from Chelsea in the January transfer window.
The 31-year-old has fallen out of favor with London clubs and has no future with them. He has not yet played for Chelsea this season and Chelsea have decided not to register him.
Sterling has been a huge failure for Chelsea, scoring 19 goals in 81 games.
Raheem Sterling needs a move
The attacker needs to move on to get his career back on track and Newcastle are ready to offer him a way out. According to Fijages, they want to sign the player on loan with an option to buy for a transfer fee of around 20-25 million euros. If the 31-year-old can prove himself at Newcastle, he will aim to make the move permanent.
They need more quality and depth in the side and Sterling could be an interesting acquisition. He was one of the best players in the Premier League with Liverpool and Manchester City. But he’s not at that level anymore. If he can regain his form and confidence, he could be an asset for Newcastle. They could take advantage of his qualities, experience, leadership and winning mentality.
A move to Newcastle would be ideal for Sterling.
Chelsea are unlikely to stand in his way and it will be interesting to see how the situation develops.
Sterling has had the opportunity to leave England but is keen to prove himself in the Premier League. A move to Newcastle could be ideal for him. They are an ambitious team with exciting projects. If a formal offer is made, he will definitely aim to join them and get his career back on track.
Newcastle need a dynamic attacker like him who can function anywhere in their front three, and the 31-year-old would be ideal for them in theory. It remains to be seen whether he can bounce back strongly and regain his form with the Magpies.
