TGL will enter its second season before the new year, and expectations and expectations for this venture are high. Led by Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy and known as TMRW Golf League, the simulator golf experience will feature 15 regular season games contested by six teams over three months.
All 15 games will continue to be held at the SoFi Center in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, and the playoffs will be broadcast on national television in the same broadcast slots that were held during the first campaign. However, not all schedules are the same. The much-hyped Presidents Day tripleheader from a year ago will not take place, with the showdown between Woods’ Jupiter Links Golf Club and McIlroy’s Boston Common Golf being scheduled for Sunday, March 1, after the PGA Tour’s Conguizant Classic in the same city.
The postseason is set for a few weeks after the Tour Championship, and the TGL will eventually make way for the PGA Tour as major championship season gets into full swing.
Let’s take a look at the future development of TGL in 2026, along with the playing rules and team composition.

date format
TGL matches are played over 15 holes and two sessions. Players hit full swing shots from grass, rough, or sand platforms toward the simulator screen. Short game shots and putts of less than 50 yards are made on a rotating adjustable green inside the SoFi Center.
Hole numbers 1-9 — Triple (3 on 3 alternating shots): Two teams of three people play against each other, and a rotation of three players takes one shot from each team. This rotation continues in sequence until the hole is completed.
Hole numbers 10-15 — Single (head-to-head): Golfers from one team play a hole with golfers from the other team. All three players play one hole at a time, then the cycle begins again on holes 13-15.
over time: 3-on-3 closer-to-the-pin competition
Scoring: Each hole is worth 1 point. In case of a tie, points will be zero. There is no carryover.
hammer: Each hole in a TGL match is worth one point unless a team decides to throw a “hammer” (not an actual hammer), a yellow weighted flag that doubles the point value for that hole. A team can accept the hammer and play 2 points on the hole, or reject the hammer and concede the hole. Each team has three hammers that they use throughout the match.
shot clock: Players must take a shot within 40 seconds or receive a one-stroke penalty.
timeout: Each team has four timeouts per match (two for triples and two for singles). There is no carryover between sessions.
