Former Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has been linked with a return to Anfield in recent months.

Liverpool have had a disappointing season so far and there have been rumors that Arne Slott could be shown the door.

They are currently 4 peopleth They had moved up in the league table and were expected to compete for the league title. If the Dutchman is given a chance in the near future, Klopp could emerge as a strong candidate.

Reports from Germany suggest the former Liverpool manager could be ready to take charge at Anfield again, depending on the situation.

Former Liverpool midfielder Dietmar Hamann has also previously suggested that Liverpool may have held talks with Klopp about a potential return. Manager Klopp is also rumored to be moving to Real Madrid.

Will manager Jurgen Klopp return?

Klopp currently works as Global Sports Director for Red Bull Sport.

Naturally, Red Bull Sports CEO Oliver Mintzlaff was asked what he would do if Liverpool decided to bring in their former manager.

Mintzlaff revealed that Klopp has now settled into his role with them well and there is no release clause in his contract. He added that the former Liverpool manager is committed to the project. However, Red Bull Sport admitted that if a situation were to arise where a club came forward and appointed him as manager, it would have to deal with the situation.

He said (h/t Werth): “Jurgen Klopp is completely at home with us and has already learned a huge amount here. There is no release clause in his contract and he is clearly committed to us. He has no intention of looking for anything else. If something happens, we will have to deal with it. But there is no sign of that at all.”

It remains to be seen how the situation will develop.

Liverpool are unlikely to sack Slott midway through the season, especially after winning the league title with the team last season. It would be reasonable to think that they will wait until summer to make a concrete decision.
