Lewis Hamilton Gears Up for F1 Season with Intense KTM Bike Training Sessions

Seven-time Formula 1 world champion Lewis Hamilton is gearing up for the 2026 season by riding a KTM motocross bike. Known for his passion for motorcycles, the British racer has frequently taken part in track days and notably swapped bikes with MotoGP legend Valentino Rossi in 2019.

Hamilton was also chosen for the exclusive special edition MV Agusta, a brand previously owned by KTM before financial difficulties forced KTM to sell its stake. Recently, Hamilton’s name has been linked to potential ownership in a MotoGP team following Liberty Media’s takeover of the series in 2024, although initial rumors about him joining Gresini’s team were denied by the Italian outfit.

In late 2024, Liberty Media confirmed Hamilton’s interest in investing in a MotoGP team. Earlier in the year, he was also considered a possible backer of KTM’s MotoGP project amid its parent company’s financial struggles. Despite his involvement fading as 2025 approaches, Hamilton’s enthusiasm for motorcycles remains evident. He shared photos on Instagram riding a 2024 KTM 250 XC-F motocross bike.

Now preparing for his second season with Ferrari after a challenging year in Formula 1, Hamilton had one of his worst campaigns ever. While he improved slightly on his 2024 standing with Mercedes, he did not secure any race wins or podium finishes. He trails teammate Charles Leclerc by almost 90 points, marking his third winless season in four years, with Ferrari ending the season fourth in the constructors’ championship.

Fan Take: Lewis Hamilton’s growing connection to MotoGP highlights an exciting crossover between two thrilling motorsport worlds, offering fans the possibility of fresh competition and collaboration. His potential investment could bring greater visibility and new energy to MotoGP, enriching the sport’s global appeal and inspiring future cross-discipline ventures.
