  • Joey Barton slams Anthony Gordon
  • Will Gordon be able to recover?

Anthony Gordon has not been at his best for Newcastle United in recent weeks.

He is one of the team’s key attacking players and Newcastle rely on him for his creativity and ingenuity in the final third. However, the former Everton attacker failed to live up to expectations.

He has faced criticism from fans and critics. Now former Newcastle star Joey Barton has launched a vicious X-rated attack on the player.

Barton believes his players need to step up and deliver consistent performances if the team is to finish in the top six this season.

“No matter how many crazy colors you put in your hair or your Adidas headband (which you have), it’s not going to work, young man,” Burton said on the Common Sense Podcast.

“Let’s shorten the back and sides and be able to give a consistent performance because that’s the way he floats on the pitch.

“He’s like Chloe Kelly, but he’s got a crazy Ronaldo aura. He’s got a Chloe Kelly aura, but he thinks he’s got a Ronaldo aura. He’s lucky Harvey Barnes can’t put a glove on him. I’ll tell you right now, he’s poking himself a lot and Newcastle United have to finish in the top six. They have.” af——- We will continue to run aiming for a top 6 finish. ”

Gordon will realize that he is not at his best. It remains to be seen whether he will be able to bounce back strongly.

Newcastle brought in some quality strikers at the start of the season, but they need more creativity in the final third. If Gordon can further improve his level of performance, there is no reason Newcastle can’t finish the season on a high note.

They currently sit sixth in the Premier League table, but a few poor results could easily see them drop to mid-table. They need to accumulate some good results in the coming months to secure a place in the European qualification zone.
