Arman Tsarukyan Tempts Ilya Topria with a $3.5 Million Fight Offer

Arman Tsarukyan remains undeterred in his quest for a UFC title shot. Despite his status as a leading contender in the lightweight division, recent controversies involving Dana White have complicated his path to a championship opportunity.

Tsarukyan’s off-ring incidents have drawn attention, including punching a fan at UFC 300 and missing the headliner at the first pay-per-view of 2025. Most recently, he headbutted Dan Hooker during a fight in Qatar last November, adding to his string of troublesome moments. These events likely affected the main event lineup at UFC 324, where Justin Gaethje defeated Paddy Pimblett to claim the two-time interim lightweight title. This outcome paved the way for a potential unification match between Gaethje and Ilia Topuria, but Tsarukyan continues to challenge the status quo, even going after “El Matador” himself.

In a bold move on social media, Tsarukyan recently offered to purchase Topuria’s $3.5 million Madrid home if the fighter agrees to an eventual bout with him. Topuria had announced a break from the UFC through early 2026 to address personal issues related to his divorce. Tsarukyan’s provocative offer was made publicly on X, highlighting his eagerness to secure a fight with the Spanish star. This follows Topuria’s previous statements after winning the lightweight title, where he expressed reluctance to face Tsarukyan.

Looking ahead, Tsarukyan isn’t just fixated on Topuria or Gaethje. He has also revealed a potential plan to drop down to featherweight, a division he hasn’t competed in for nearly ten years. On the Ariel Helwani Show, he explained that after consulting with his coach, he believes his body can comfortably make 145 pounds. Tsarukyan hinted that if an opportunity arises by June, he’s prepared to pursue the featherweight title. Meanwhile, fans may want to keep an eye on the upcoming UFC 325 event in Sydney, where a controversial rematch between Alexander Volkanovski and Diego Lopez will take center stage.

Fan Take: This saga highlights the intense dynamics and personality clashes that make the UFC’s lightweight division so captivating. Tsarukyan’s willingness to change weight classes and confront multiple champions could shake up the division and deliver some must-watch matchups in 2026.
