Tottenham are reported to have tightened safety measures for their executives in response to growing dissatisfaction among their fan base.

The Daily Mail reports that tensions between the Spurs organization and supporters have reached a breaking point, with the club taking proactive steps to protect its leadership in recent away games.

Senior executives are deliberately kept away from fans as they enter and exit the venue, and enhanced security is now standard at board meetings.

The move comes as protest group Change Tottenham intensifies its calls for an overhaul of the club’s ownership and transfer strategy.

The decision to strengthen the board’s protection was taken following a series of tense atmospheres during the match.

At recent away games, including the 3-2 defeat at Bournemouth and the 2-2 draw at Burnley, managers have reportedly been forced through a separate entrance to avoid clashes with angry away supporters.

The resignation of long-time chairman Daniel Levy was aimed at resetting the relationship with the Stand.

But CEO Vinay Venkatesham and sports directors inherited that intense scrutiny.

Fans have complained about high ticket prices and a lack of ambition, prompting clubs to prioritize “isolation zones” to ensure the safety of those involved.

This toxicity is not limited to the boardroom. It spilled onto the pitch.

Star players Micky van de Ven and Pedro Polo were spotted having heated exchanges with their respective fans after he collapsed in the final seconds of the game against Bournemouth earlier this month.

Similar incidents occurred several times during a poor season domestically under coach Ange Postecoglou.

In fact, Postecoglou himself was often seen clashing with Spurs fans last season.

Concerned strong domestic performance vs. impressive performance in the Champions League

It’s been a pretty strange season, just like last season. Domestically, Tottenham sit 14th in the Premier League having won just two of their last 14 games.

They have already been eliminated from both the FA Cup and Carabao Cup.

In stark contrast, Spurs finished the Champions League league phase as Europe’s fourth-placed team and progressed to the Round of 16 with a 2-0 win over Eintracht Frankfurt this week.

While progress in Europe offers a bright spot, the possibility of a relegation battle remains a real fear for fans, and pressure on the division is certain to remain at an all-time high.
