The 2026 MotoGP season is just around the corner, with the opening race set to take place in Thailand from February 27th to March 1st. With the winter break over, teams are now ramping up preparations for the new season.
Pramac was the first team to reveal their 2026 livery during an event in Siena on January 13th, followed closely by other teams showcasing their new designs. Below are highlights of the updated liveries for various teams.
Honda LCR
Continuing with their signature dual coloring in 2026, LCR Honda will have Johann Zarco wearing Castrol colors for his third year with the team after his victory at the French GP in 2025. Meanwhile, rookie Diogo Moreira, the current Moto2 champion, will sport a fresh “Pro Honda” livery as Honda’s oil brand replaces Idemitsu as the title sponsor.
Gresini Racing Ducati
After a record-breaking 2025 season—winning four Grands Prix and finishing second in both rider and team championships—Gresini Racing heads into 2026 with a similar light blue and silver livery. Despite losing Marc Marquez to the Ducati factory squad over the winter, the team retains the Marquez brothers and continues receiving support from title sponsor BK8. However, the competition will intensify with stronger efforts from Aprilia, Honda, KTM (featuring Pedro Acosta), and Marquez’s factory Ducati team.
KTM Factory Racing and Tech3 KTM Factory Racing
KTM unveiled their new livery online, which will be identical for both the factory and Tech3 teams in 2026. Notably, Tech3 enters a new era as Hervé Poncharal steps down as the team principal for the first time ever, with former Haas F1 boss Günter Steiner leading the new ownership consortium.
Trackhouse Racing Aprilia
Trackhouse MotoGP introduced two liveries for the season in collaboration with Gulf. The iconic Gulf colors will be featured at five events: Thailand, Brazil, Italy, Indonesia, and Malaysia. For other races, the team will use a refined version of last year’s corporate color scheme.
Monster Energy Yamaha Racing
Yamaha’s factory team unveiled their slightly updated livery during an event in Jakarta on January 21st as they prepare to race with a new V4 engine. Fabio Quartararo and Alex Rins remain part of the team, though Quartararo’s contract situation is a major point of discussion heading into the 2027 season.
Ducati Lenovo Team
The reigning champions, featuring Marc Márquez and Pecco Bagnaia, showcased their 2026 design at the Madonna di Campiglio event on January 19th. Celebrating Ducati’s 100th anniversary, the livery now incorporates white racing stripes on its classic red base. Márquez dominated 2025 with 11 GP wins and seven world titles, while Bagnaia claimed two wins despite a challenging season.
Aprilia Racing
At Milan’s Sky Studio, Aprilia revealed the 2026 colors for Marco Bezzecchi and Jorge Martin after a string of announcements. The RS-GP retains a mostly black design, now enhanced with a lion logo, as the team builds on its best-ever campaign aiming to challenge Ducati in 2026. Bezzecchi finished third in last season’s championship with six victories, while Martin looks to recover from an injury-hit year.
Pertamina VR46 Racing
Valentino Rossi’s VR46 team became the second to unveil their new look, revealing their livery in Rome shortly after Pramac. The Ducati-supported satellite squad will race using a yellow and black base, hoping to end a two-year winless streak. Fabio Di Giannantonio rides the top-spec Desmosedici, whereas Franco Morbidelli uses a previous-year satellite model.
Pramac Yamaha
At their January 13th Siena event, Pramac unveiled their 2026 livery. The team is set to gain major attention by bringing three-time World Superbike champion Toprak Razgatlioglu to MotoGP for his rookie season, partnering with Jack Miller. They will pilot Yamaha’s brand-new V4 M1, replacing the long-standing inline-four since the start of the MotoGP era.
Fan Take:
These livery reveals mark the start of an exciting chapter for MotoGP fans, symbolizing both fresh talent and fierce competition. As teams combine new branding with enhanced machinery and strategic changes, the 2026 season promises to deliver thrilling racing and potentially shake up the championship landscape.
