According to the Mirror, Marcus Rashford is firmly resolved not to go back to Manchester United once his loan deal with Barcelona concludes at the end of this season. He is even prepared to take a pay cut to help Barcelona activate a €30m option to turn his loan into a permanent transfer.

Rashford’s rapport with former United manager Ruben Amorim hasn’t been strong, but Michael Carrick, who is currently managing Manchester United on an interim basis, is interested in bringing the 28-year-old attacker back if he secures a permanent role at the club.

However, Rashford is uninterested in returning to Manchester. He prefers to stay at Barcelona, where he has made a significant impact with 22 goals (10 goals and 12 assists) in 32 competitive matches. If a permanent move doesn’t materialize, he is likely to consider joining another club instead of playing for Manchester United again.

Fan Take: This news is significant for soccer fans as it highlights the shifting dynamics within top clubs and the increasing importance of player agency in contract decisions. Rashford’s potential move could reshape both his career and the transfer landscape in the sport, making it a development worth watching closely.
