  • Man United and Arsenal interested in Tonali
  • Italian midfielder wants to return to Serie A

Sandro Tonali’s departure is in the spotlight ahead of this summer’s transfer window, with interest from both England and Italy increasing.

According to talkSPORT, Tonali would welcome a return to Serie A, a revelation that adds another dimension to the already crowded race for his signature.

Tonali has become one of the most talked about midfielders in the Premier League.

His leadership, tactical intelligence and ability to control the tempo made him a central figure in Newcastle’s project.

Despite his importance on Tyneside, speculation persists over his long-term future.

Man United and Arsenal interested in Tonali

Some of England’s biggest clubs are monitoring the situation closely.

Manchester United, Arsenal and Manchester City have all been linked with the Italian international, with all seeing him as a player who could improve their midfield options.

Manchester United in particular is expected to be aggressive in the market. With changes expected in the engine room, Tonali has been added to a shortlist of proven Premier League midfielders, along with Carlos Bareva, Elliott Anderson and Adam Wharton.

United’s plans to sign two midfielders this summer underlines the scale of the rebuild.

Premier League clubs have the financial power and global name recognition, but Italy’s emotional appeal remains strong.

Juventus are understood to be long-time fans and are encouraged by Tonali’s openness to a return to Serie A.

A return to Italy would bring the midfielder back to a familiar soccer culture, where his skill set would be a perfect fit for the league’s tactical demands.

Newcastle are under no pressure to sell. Tonali is on a long-term contract, with the club saying he is worth between £80m and £100m.
