  • Romano gives update on Goretzka’s future
  • Manchester United need an experienced player like Goretzka

Transfer news expert Fabrizio Romano has provided an update on the future of German midfielder Leon Goretzka.

The Bayern Munich star has been linked with a move to Premier League clubs such as Manchester United, Arsenal and Tottenham, among others.

Goretzka is set to become a free agent at the end of the season and is likely to leave the German giants for a new challenge in another league.

The 31-year-old midfielder will not be short of offers as he prepares for a new adventure in his illustrious career.

The experienced midfielder won several titles with Bayern Munich. He brings not only strength but also a calming influence to the midfield with his experience at the top level.

Romano gives update on Goretzka’s future

The Bayern Munich star was heavily linked with Man United in the January transfer window, but Romano has given an update on his future.

“Goretzka will leave Bayern as a free agent” Romano said on his Youtube channel.

“There are some rumors starting to come out about Goretzka, and he’s one of the most interesting free agents that could be available in the summer, so there’s going to be a lot of rumors.

“He won’t stay at Bayern, we know that, it’s official. He has a lot of potential and several clubs are interested in Italy.”

“There have also been links with Napoli and AC Milan, so Italy could be a solution. In Germany, some clubs would like to sign Goretzka, but as I understand it, Goretzka’s priority is to move abroad and try something different.”

“Then I got a call from the Premier League. I got a call from the Premier League as well.

“Despite the rumors in January, I can guarantee you that Leon Goretzka has not agreed anything with Manchester United.

“So, nothing has been pre-agreed or signed between Goretzka and United. Let’s see what United do with the midfielder.”

“Let’s not forget that Atlético Madrid have already challenged (for Goretzka) in the January window and Tottenham have also challenged in the January window. So we have to see what happens with these two clubs (in the summer).”

Top clubs across Europe, especially England and Spain, are keen to sign him.

Although he may not be the player he was a few years ago, his experience could still be important to many teams looking to sign an experienced midfielder.

Man United could make a move for Casemiro after he leaves the club at the end of the season.

Goretzka may offer something different to the Red Devils than Casemiro.

More importantly, he could instill a winning mentality in the team, making him an ideal addition to a young player like Koby Mainu.
