It didn’t take long for the PGA Tour to offer its second marquee event of the season, as the circuit along the California coast brings some of the world’s best players to Los Angeles, where they return to Riviera Country Club to play in Tiger Woods’ tournament.
In 2025, the Genesis Invitational had to relocate to Torrey Pines due to the devastating fires in Los Angeles, so Riviera will definitely be a welcome addition to all involved. This week will feature four past champions of the event – Ludwig Oberg (current champion), Hideki Matsuyama, Max Homa and Adam Scott – all of the biggest names in the field vying for their first win on the Riviera.
That list includes Scottie Scheffler, who has made a strong comeback over the past two weeks to finish in the top three after a slow start, and Rory McIlroy, who started the 2026 PGA Tour season with an up-and-down T14 finish at Pebble Beach. Collin Morikawa is also set to return, winning the Pebble Beach Pro-Am and earning his first PGA Tour win since 2023, showing the form that once made him the No. 2 player in the world.
Tommy Fleetwood, Xander Schauffele, Russell Henry and Patrick Cantlay round out the group of favorites in Los Angeles this week, hoping to receive the trophy from Woods and a big championship check at the end of the week.
Here’s how to watch Scheffler, McIlroy and everyone else competing in the Tiger event this week.
