WWelcome to Fully Equipment’s weekly tour equipment report. Every Friday of PGA Tour week (and other times when the news warrants it), golf equipment editor Jack Hirsch brings you the biggest news about golf clubs on tour, including changes, tweaks, and launches.
As the PGA Tour’s Florida Swing opens at PGA National, many of the game’s top pros have taken a week off before next week’s Arnold Palmer Invitational. But that hasn’t stopped companies from flooding us with putter prototypes.

If you’re a fan of low-torque (also known as zero-torque) putters, you’ll definitely be excited this week.
First up is the new LAB Link 2.1 and 2.2 tour announcement. This is the next generation of Link 1 and is currently the only blade in LAB’s matrix.

The 2.1 is a more traditional and modern blade shape, while the 2.2 is a wide body blade with a shorter heel to toe. But what’s interesting is that both putters feature LAB’s new HS riser hosel, which was introduced last summer with the OZ.1i HS.
Additionally, it features a new deep fly milled face. I’m very interested in this because previous LAB faces have been either too soft or too hard for me.

But LAB wasn’t the only company offering a new heel shaft low-torque option. Bettinardi unveiled several new “Hexpirmental” prototypes at the Cognizant Classic, each appearing to feature the company’s new low-torque hosel.
Bettinardi’s Antidote low torque line currently comes in four shapes, all center shafted. But the company appears to have come up with a new hosel that resembles a traditional long plumber’s neck, but with the shaft pointing toward the center of the putter.
The concept seems to be very similar to LAB’s riser hosel and Odyssey’s S2S Tri-Hot SB used by Max Glaserman, and the shaft is raised to match the center of gravity of the putter, giving it a toe-up effect.

Bettinardi’s take on it looks like as much of a traditional endeavor as anything we’ve seen so far.
So far we have only seen two shapes. The high-toed widebody Blade SS9 and a new mid-mallet option similar to the Odyssey Jailbird and Scotty Cameron Fastback with rear windows.
But looking at the photos showing Bettinardi’s new VFT milling pattern and the FIT face currently in the Antidote line, it appears there are already plenty of options for face milling.
Finally, Scotty Cameron also unveiled a new prototype for pros this week with a new T12 mallet.
We don’t know much about this, so you’ll have to check out the photos of the GolfWRX for yourself, but we’ll address the elephant in the room and admit that it’s pretty obvious what kind of look and performance Cameron is going for here. But before anyone starts throwing blame, know that almost every OEM has the exact same putter and technology as everyone else’s. People like what works, so there’s no point in trying to create something radically different from what’s working.

What’s interesting here is that the last time we looked at the Phantom X-Line Scotty “12” mallet, it also had a gap between the wing and the center of the putter. However, that putter seemed to be larger and focused on delivering ultra-high MOI.
We haven’t heard any details yet about the T3 mallet (the one Ryan Gerard is gaming with), which has been on sale since last summer, so we don’t know when this will be released. The T12 we saw at GolfWRX doesn’t appear to have the new SCS insert or chain link face milling like the rest of the 2026 Phantom line, so don’t expect anything right away.
Two works of art will appear
All of these new prototypes look great, but the only new prototype putters that were actually used this week were the two Odyssey Damascus Milled No. 7s.

Yes, you read that correctly! Damascus!
Damascus steel is one of the materials typically used to give high-end boutique putters a unique look. The material is usually based on carbon steel and is welded, bent or forged to create a unique look unique to the piece.
Though it’s considered more art than performance material, Chris Kirk and Kevin Yu both bagged the new Odyssey Damascus cane at Cognizant this week. Kirk played the single-bend version, while Yu played the version with a crank hosel.

In this section, we’ll show you some cool photos we took recently while on tour, but didn’t have a reason to share yet. This week, check out Joel Damen’s Pin Answer Hybrid, which is still a favorite more than 14 years after its release.

PING G440 LST Custom Driver
PING G440 LST Custom Driver
The G440 driver family (MAX, LST, SFT) is optimized to increase ball speed with multiple advancements, including PING’s deepest center of gravity ever in a driver and a shallower, thinner face, while ensuring the revolutionary forgiveness you’ve come to expect from a PING driver. The G440 LST (Low Spin) design appeals to players with faster swing speeds, and the 3-position back weight provides lower spin and more control with 9° and 10.5° lofts. High Forgiveness Lighter head weight allows heavier back weight. FASTER FACE Shallow, thin face increases ball speed for greater distance and higher launch. Sound Design The new shape, carbon crown, and internal ribs create a calm feel at impact. Free hosel design saves weight, lowers center of gravity and increases forgiveness. The deflection of the face on the heel side is increased, achieving stable ball speed across the entire face.
