Tottenham are reportedly already in talks with former Marseille and Brighton manager Roberto De Zerbi following Igor Tudor’s poor start to the season.

The North London side have been in dire form, losing three of three games since Tudor was replaced by Thomas Frank less than a month ago.

Tudor is only at Spurs on an interim basis, but the Telegraph reports that talks are already underway with De Zerbi as the club considers a second managerial change within a month.

De Zerbi made a huge impact during his time with Brighton in the Premier League and would be ideal to help save Tottenham from their current predicament, with relegation becoming a very real possibility.

Roberto de Zerbi makes sense for Tottenham, but will he take the job?

De Zerbi may be ideal for Tottenham, but with the club in such dire straits, will the Italian tactician necessarily take this opportunity?

Spurs have lost five games in a row in the Premier League and remain one point above the relegation zone.

With little time left to turn things around, it would be a big gamble for De Zerbi to take the job.

And even if THFC are eliminated from the Championship, it will no doubt be even more difficult to convince a manager of De Zerbi’s caliber to take over.

Glenn Hoddle hints at return to Tottenham

Meanwhile, former Tottenham manager Glenn Hoddle has indicated he is ready to return to the club.

The Spurs legend reportedly said he could return to management, especially at his former team.

Given Hoddle’s long absence from the game, this will be a bit of a left-wing appointment, but it could be enough of a short-term move to lift spirits and rally the players for more action in the final few games of the season.
