Arsenal and Liverpool are interested in signing VfB Stuttgart defender Finn Jertsch.

The 19-year-old has performed very well in Germany and has attracted the attention of Arsenal and Liverpool scouts. They are monitoring his progress and are leading the race for his signature. According to a report from TEAMtalk, his cost could be around 50 million euros.

The report further claims that it will take: An “unusually large” amount of money to close the deal. It will be interesting to see whether Liverpool or Arsenal make a formal offer to sign him.

Jertsch has proven to be a reliable defender in the Bundesliga and also has the physical and technical attributes to be suited to English football. Apart from his qualities as a defender, he is calm and composed on the ball and his distribution will add a new dimension to Arsenal and Liverpool.

The asking price seems quite steep for a young talent like him. Arsenal and Liverpool may prefer to sign him for a more reasonable fee. It will be interesting to see how the situation develops.

The defender has been compared to Mats Hummels due to their similar styles. He has a bright future ahead of him and could be a quality long-term signing for two English clubs.

A potential move to the Premier League is exciting for Jertsch and he wants to sort out his future quickly so he can focus on his football. It will be interesting to see where he ends up. Either club has the potential to develop him into a star. They could also provide him with a platform to fight for trophies.
