SAN ANTONIO – Everything is bigger in Texas, including Matt McCarty qualifying for the Valero Texas Open on Friday.

Everyone’s favorite local boy and 2015 champion achieved his 20th birthday.th First career appearance at the Texas Open. However, this is the third year in a row that they have missed out on a spot, and the fourth time in the past five games. He got off to a decent start with a 69, but stumbled with a 77 on Friday. He ranked last in Friday’s SG: Putting and was just 4 of 10 in scrambles.

Johnny Keefer

San Antonio residents will still be able to sleep in their own beds this weekend. He just doesn’t have tea time. The multi-million rounds at TPC San Antonio will come in handy at the Texas Open someday, but it won’t be this year. He shot 76-71.

Kiefer was dead last in Strokes Gained: Putting on Thursday and went just 5 of 12 in scrambles that week.
