According to a report from Sports Boom, Rennes are willing to sell the player on a permanent basis in the summer and could accept an offer of between £20 million and £25 million. The French team are keen to resolve his sale quickly, with clubs such as Everton and Crystal Palace keeping a close eye on his situation.
The English club are looking to add more quality and depth to the center of the park and James could be a great addition. He has proven his quality in the Championship and has the ability to succeed in the Premier League.
