Julian Brandt will leave Borussia Dortmund at the end of the season and Arsenal are interested in signing him.
TEAMtalk reports that Arsenal are considering making a formal offer for the 29-year-old playmaker. He has made over 300 appearances for Dortmund, scoring 57 goals and providing 69 assists, and could be a very lucrative signing for the north London club.
They need more creativity in the final third and the 29-year-old can play centrally as well as on the wing. Martin Odegaard has not been at his best this season and ideally there will be more competition for places. The German international could compete with Arsenal’s captain for a starting spot. His ability to play in multiple offensive roles will be a bonus.
He is set to become a free agent in the summer and securing his services at a bargain price could be a huge coup for Arsenal. In order to achieve good results in multiple tournaments, we need a team with a deep pool of high-quality players. Blount has 11 goals and three assists this season.
Meanwhile, the opportunity to play for Arsenal would be exciting for Brunt as well. He is at the peak of his career and it is the perfect time to seek a new challenge. Arsenal is one of the biggest clubs in the world and has a formidable team.
They have been pushing towards the league title and the UEFA Champions League in recent seasons. He will want to join them and fight for the big trophy. He has the technical attributes of English football and could become a star for Arsenal.
Other clubs in England are monitoring his situation as well and it will be interesting to see where he ends up.
