Chelsea are interested in signing Anthony Gordon at the end of the season.

They are looking to add more quality and depth through their attacking line and have identified the 25-year-old as a target.

According to a report from The Athletic, Chelsea have been monitoring the player since 2022 and wanted to sign him during his time at Everton. However, any move will depend on Chelsea’s ability to qualify for the Champions League next season.

They need more quality in the side and Gordon will add goals and creativity to the squad. He has had a fantastic spell with Newcastle United, contributing 22 goals in all competitions.

Meanwhile, reports claim that Liverpool had agreed to sign the player in 2024, but Newcastle withdrew at the last minute. It remains to be seen whether Liverpool decide to renew their interest in the attacker.

Especially since Mohamed Salah left the club in the summer, there is a need for more quality in wider areas. Gordon is a lifelong Liverpool fan, which could give him an advantage in the transfer race. Liverpool are also well placed to qualify for the Champions League next campaign.

The England international is also rumored to be linked with clubs such as Bayern Munich. It remains to be seen where he will end up. He will aim to compete at the highest level and fight for big trophies.

The opportunity to join a club like Bayern, Chelsea or Liverpool could be exciting for him. He is at the peak of his career and now is the perfect time to take on a new challenge.
