While the future of LIV Golf remains in doubt, there appears to be a big question mark hanging over the subject of where Bryson DeChambeau will play the majority of his golf over the next few years.
LIV Golf has never been in a more precarious position. Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund plans to withdraw support for the league after this season.

So it’s not at all clear how LIV will survive considering the amount of money PIF has invested in the league over the past five years.
Concerns the PGA Tour should have if Bryson DeChambeau decides to return from LIV Golf
DeChambeau reiterated his desire to remain at LIV. However, his contract expires at the end of the year, so the possibility of the two-time US Open champion moving on for 2027 clearly cannot be ruled out.
In that case, it’s clear that many would expect DeChambeau to return to the PGA Tour. He missed out on the opportunity to follow Brooks Koepka through the returning member program earlier this year. However, LIV appeared to be in a much stronger position than it is now.

It wouldn’t be surprising to see him return to the PGA Tour at some point. But Ryan Ravner, speaking on the Golf Channel podcast about why Jon Rahm’s return is more important to Brian Rolup, expressed concerns about DeChambeau.

“If you were a PGA Tour executive, you’d want him back on your team. He’s a very popular player. The reason I’m putting him at No. 2 in my consensus is because I’m concerned about his longevity,” he said.
“He’ll turn 33 later this fall. He’s already hinted, even hinted, that he could be content with interests outside of professional golf and focus full-time on creating content for YouTube. So, playing in the Twisted Championship… Whether he’s playing in the Travelers Championship or not, he’s always going to have his mind set on other things. The major championships are where his legacy and traditions are summed up, and where his resume will ultimately become.”

“I think even when he was a full-time player on the PGA Tour, he always had other interests. I think if you’re the PGA Tour, you’re a little wary of that kind of scenario. I think Jon Rahm is trying to make amends and repair some of his reputation. Isn’t he half-hearted in some of the PGA Tour’s attempts?”
Bryson DeChambeau says he missed PGA Tour events after joining LIV Golf
DeChambeau has previously said he would like the opportunity to play in a PGA Tour event again.
As Golf Monthly reported in 2023, DeChambeau said he is eager to compete at the Arnold Palmer Invitational, Memorial and Genesis Invitational.

He also expressed a desire to compete in the Travelers Championship, RBC Heritage, and Rocket Classic. So if it becomes clear that LIV is nearing its end, perhaps these tournaments might finally draw him back.
