Dan Cameron to leave the club in the summer
Cameron has signed a professional contract with Sunderland in 2024, with his contract expiring in the summer. He has yet to make an appearance in the top flight for the club and it is no surprise that Sunderland decided to let him leave.
It will be interesting to see if he can find a suitable destination for himself. The talented goalkeeper has a bright future, but he needs to join the right team where he can play regularly. He has been on loan at Hebburn Town in recent months and has kept eight clean sheets. Regular football would be able to bring out the best in him.
It appears that several League Two clubs are keeping a close eye on his development. It remains to be seen where he will end up.

Sunderland need a better player than Cameron.
Sunderland, on the other hand, have had a great season so far and will be hoping to finish mid-table. If we want to establish ourselves as regulars in the Premier League, we need to keep improving our squad.
They need to keep their best players and add even more quality in the summer. Players like Cameron will not be able to contribute to their development in the Premier League and it makes sense for the club to move them on to bring an upgrade.
The 20-year-old will aim to fulfill his potential in regular football at another club.
