Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson Becker is rumored to be leaving the club, and the club are currently considering a replacement.

According to a report from La Gazzetta dello Sport, Liverpool are keen to sign Michele Di Gregorio and have made inquiries about the player.

The 28-year-old Italian goalkeeper will have to move in the summer, especially if Juventus sign Alisson. A move to Liverpool could be an interesting opportunity. He could compete with Giorgi Mamadashvili for the starting spot. The battle for position will bring out the best in both players.

It remains to be seen whether Liverpool will respond to their investigation with an offer to finalize the deal. The player is also rumored to be linked with clubs such as Tottenham Hotspur. They want him to replace Guglielmo Vicario. He hopes to play regularly next season, but it remains to be seen where he will end up.

Alisson has shown great performances since joining Liverpool and is a world-class player. Replacing him will be a huge challenge for Liverpool. The Italian goalkeeper has had a decent run at Juventus, but he is nowhere near the level of the Brazilian national team. This move would be a bit of a downgrade for Liverpool.

However, Alisson has struggled with injuries in recent seasons and is in his 30s. Now could be the perfect time for Liverpool to sign the player and establish Mamadashvili as the club’s first-choice keeper. Coach Di Gregorio could push him into the starting lineup, which could lead to the development of both players.
