  • Transfer schedule from Joao Pedro to Barcelona
  • Should Joao Pedro leave Chelsea for Barcelona?

Barcelona are reportedly stepping up their pursuit of Chelsea striker Joao Pedro as Deco is in London to watch the Blues ace in the FA Cup final.

Pedro has been in great form since joining Chelsea from Brighton last summer, winning the memorable Club World Cup and scoring a further 20 goals in all competitions this season.

The Brazil international’s form has attracted strong interest from Barça, and Deco looks set to step up even further, with Deco traveling to London to get a closer look at his form at Wembley this weekend.

Learn more about sports journalist Carlos Monfort below.

His X post translates as “Deco is in London to meet Joao Pedro’s agent! The Blaugrana’s sporting director is traveling to the English capital (sic) and will be at Wembley tomorrow for the FA Cup final to scout the Brazilian player. He is very well liked at the club.”

Should Joao Pedro leave Chelsea for Barcelona?

Pedro clearly has plenty of quality and looks like he has a great career ahead of him, so he wouldn’t want to waste it at a club that doesn’t play in Europe or compete for major trophies.

The sad reality for Chelsea now is that after a chaotic few years under this ownership, they will increasingly be perceived as such.

Pedro may be willing to give the CFC project a little more time as he only joined a year ago, but if Barcelona really push for this deal, it won’t be easy for Pedro to turn it down.

The Catalan giants are in dire need of signing a frontman this summer, with veteran frontman Robert Lewandowski nearing the end of his contract.
