Liverpool are keen to sign a quality goalkeeper at the end of the season and have their sights set on Brighton star Bert Verbruggen.
Alisson Becker has been linked with a move to Italy in recent months. Juventus will want to secure his signature and Liverpool will need to replace him appropriately.
The 23-year-old Brighton goalkeeper could be a great addition. He has had an outstanding performance in the Premier League and has the quality to play for a bigger club. Liverpool have Giorgi Mamadashvili at their disposal but want to add more experience and quality to their squad.
They are also keeping an eye on Emiliano Martinez. However, the Dutch goalkeeper would be a younger option with a higher ceiling.
There is no doubt that Verbruggen would be attracted to the idea of joining Liverpool. It would be a big step up in his career. He will be playing for one of the biggest clubs in the world and will be able to fight for big trophies with them. It remains to be seen whether Liverpool can win the race to sign him.
The player is reportedly open to leaving Brighton this summer. According to TEAMtalk, several clubs are interested in signing him, including Tottenham Hotspur and Bayern Munich. Brighton do not want to lose the player so easily and could demand a high fee for his contract.
Tottenham want to upgrade Guglielmo Vicario, who has not shown much potential so far. Bayern are eyeing the Dutch star as a replacement for Manuel Neuer.
Liverpool need to improve multiple areas of their squad in the summer and cannot afford to overpay for a Dutch goalkeeper. Whether they can negotiate a reasonable deal with the seagulls remains to be seen.
Liverpool have a strong Dutch squad and may be able to convince them to join the club over their rivals.
