Mathematically there is still a slim chance of the Hammers staying, but they are relying on a home win against a very decent Leeds United team, while also needing Tottenham’s slip-up against Everton.
Castellanos only joined West Ham from Lazio in January, but has made a decent impact so far in the Premier League, scoring five goals in 17 appearances.
However, reports in Italy suggest that the 27-year-old has no intention of remaining at the club if they play in the Championship next season and that his stay will be short-lived.

This doesn’t seem like a good thing for West Ham, who are set to lose other important players in the coming weeks and months as they face a drop into English football’s second tier.
