West Ham United face a battle for survival on the final day of the Premier League season, with Tati Castellanos looking almost certain to leave if the club are relegated.

Mathematically there is still a slim chance of the Hammers staying, but they are relying on a home win against a very decent Leeds United team, while also needing Tottenham’s slip-up against Everton.

Castellanos only joined West Ham from Lazio in January, but has made a decent impact so far in the Premier League, scoring five goals in 17 appearances.

However, reports in Italy suggest that the 27-year-old has no intention of remaining at the club if they play in the Championship next season and that his stay will be short-lived.

Tati Castellanos is certain to leave West Ham

“#Westham We’re practically one step away from being relegated. #Championshipin the case of a draw, mathematical certainty could come as early as Tuesday #Tottenham,” Italian journalist Marco Mampresso posted on his X account earlier this week.

“Many big names are ready to say goodbye to Japan (at bargain prices)” #hammer: #castellanosHe is set to part ways with the team after joining in the January transfer window. #London Only 6 months later. #Flemishalready had an interest in this player during the previous winter session and transferred in the summer, #Brazil Certainly an interesting forward like the Argentine. Negotiations have not progressed yet, but the striker’s intentions are clear: he will not play. #Serie B”

This doesn’t seem like a good thing for West Ham, who are set to lose other important players in the coming weeks and months as they face a drop into English football’s second tier.
