  • Harry Kane could have a big impact on England’s World Cup ambitions

CF Bayern Insider journalist Christian Falk has provided an update on Harry Kane’s contract situation amid PSG’s interest in the Bayern Munich striker.

The England international is one of the best players in the world and had a fantastic season with Bayern, scoring an incredible 58 goals in 50 games in all competitions.

Bayern will no doubt not want to let Kane go, and Falk says talks over a new contract have not yet begun, adding that PSG could be interested.

Falk recently reported in another column that PSG are in the market for a striker like Kane, which could be something to keep an eye on in the coming weeks and months.

Still, the situation does not seem hopeless at the moment, as all sides are relaxed about the former Tottenham player’s future.

Latest information on Harry Kane’s Bayern Munich future

“That’s not true: Bayern Munich and Harry Kane have different opinions on the length of his negotiated contract,” Falk wrote.

“The rumor is that Kane is asking for a contract until 2030, but Bayern Munich are only offering a one-year contract. But no, negotiations have not really started at the moment.

“Obviously, once they come to the table, this is going to be a big question. Is it going to be one more year or two years? I think it could be a one-year deal with an option for an additional year.”

“But Harry Kane wants to focus on the next title, the DFB Cup in Berlin. Until then it won’t be a big topic.”

“In the England side, he is very relaxed. He says he can sign a contract not only before the World Cup, but also after the World Cup.”

“So no one is in a hurry. Coach Herbert Hainer also made it clear that Kane will get a new contract from Bayern Munich. Everything is relaxed.”

Harry Kane could have a big impact on England’s World Cup ambitions

As Falk mentioned, Kane has a World Cup coming up this summer and all eyes will be on whether he can repeat his Bayern display for his country.

The 32-year-old is already the Three Lions’ all-time top scorer and will be hungry to add to his tally ahead of what could potentially be his last chance to play in a World Cup.

Of course, Kane could continue to play for his national team into his late 30s or even early 40s, like Lionel Messi or Cristiano Ronaldo, but not many players can continue to perform at such a high level for so long.

With Kane leading the line and top attacking midfielders like Jude Bellingham and Bukayo Saka around him, this could be one of England’s best chances to finally end their long wait for a second World Cup final victory.
