The PGA Tour concludes its second step in Texas this week with the 2026 Charles Schwab Challenge. On Thursday, Windham Clark will tee off at Colonial Country Club in Fort Worth, just 80 miles from where he won last week’s CJ Cup Byron Nelson. The 2023 U.S. Open champion is part of the Charles Schwab Challenge, along with other major winners Justin Thomas, JJ Spawn and Hideki Matsuyama. Still, at the top of the Charles Schwab Challenge 2026 odds board at +850 is Ludwig Aberg, who has yet to score a big win.

Other golf favorites for this week’s PGA bet include Russell Henry (+1800), Thomas (+2200) and defending champion Ben Griffin (+2200). This is Clark’s second win at +2,700 after Scottie Scheffler, Jordan Spieth and others withdrew from this week’s golf course. Before finalizing your 2026 Charles Schwab Challenge picks, PGA DFS picks, and One and Done picks, be sure to check out the 2026 Charles Schwab Challenge predictions and projected leaderboards from SportsLine’s proven computer models.

2026 Charles Schwab Challenge Predictions

One of the big surprises the model is calling for the Charles Schwab Challenge 2026 is that there are only three golfers with short odds, and even though he is the defending champion, Ben Griffin (+2200) is on the decline. Senior models say Griffin sometimes stumbles and falls on his way to the top 10, but these days those types of top finishes are fleeting. Griffin has finished in the top 10 only once in 14 individual starts this season and has finished below 50th in four matches. He struggled in this tournament before winning last year, missed the cut in 2024, and finished 52nd in 2023. Given the short odds on the PGA, Griffin is someone to avoid betting on in the Charles Schwab Challenge. See who else will be fading out here.

Another surprise: The model is eyeing Akshay Bhatia for the title despite the odds being +3300. Among this week’s competitors, Bhatia ranks second in the FedEx Cup standings. Outside of majors, he has finished in the top 25 in seven of the last eight tournaments and top 16 in six of those. Colonial Country Club is also one of the shortest courses on tour, which alleviates Battier’s lack of distance off the tee. He’s arguably the best putter on tour, and he makes up for it by finishing in the top five in putting, birdie average, and strokes gained putting average. Find out who else to choose here.
