Juventus to try to steal Tottenham’s Andy Robertson
Tottenham have been in advanced negotiations with Robertson over a free transfer for several weeks, and a deal appears to be close to being completed, according to Romano’s latest update.
However, Juventus have now taken matters into their own hands and made their own concrete offer to lure the experienced left-back to Serie A in return.
Romano revealed the sudden twist to X, saying: “Tottenham have been in preliminary negotiations with Andy Robertson for several weeks on a free transfer and the deal has been finalized.
The development has brought much of Robertson’s story into the light, with Romano making it clear that the decision on his future lies entirely with the 32-year-old.
Robertson will have to weigh the lure of remaining in the Premier League as Spurs seek glory against the lure of a move to Turin, one of the oldest clubs in European football.
Juventus could sign Alisson Becker
Robertson may not be the only high-profile player to leave Liverpool for Juventus this summer, with reports suggesting goalkeeper Alisson Becker could also be linked with a move to the Italian giants.
The Brazilian shot-stopper still has one year left on his contract at Anfield, so Juventus will need to negotiate a formal transfer fee with Liverpool.
However, it has been reported that Alisson is keen to move to Turin, where he will be reunited with former Roma manager Luciano Spalletti.

Juventus are said to be exploring the possibility of linking him with their existing squad as they aim to significantly strengthen the club ahead of next season.
If Juventus are successful in signing both Robertson and Alisson, it would be a remarkable double move and send a strong statement of intent to their Serie A rivals.
Losing Robertson to the continental giants will be a bitter blow for Tottenham after weeks of arduous negotiations that seemed to have secured them pole position.
