Tottenham Hotspur are prepared to offer Jonathan David an exit route during the summer transfer window.

The 26-year-old Canadian international has not been able to make a full-fledged appearance in Italian soccer, and was underwhelming at Juventus. They are prepared to let him leave and Tutto Juve reports that Tottenham are interested in him.

The striker previously proved his quality with LOSC Lille in France. He scored 109 goals for the French team before moving to Italy, but has only six goals and four assists in 35 league games.

David will be desperate to get his career back on track and a fresh start would be ideal for him. Tottenham could provide him with the platform he needs. Regular soccer in England could bring out the best in Canada International. It will be interesting to see if Tottenham can finalize a move before the player heads to the World Cup with his country.

At 26, he is at the peak of his career and has plenty of time to fulfill his potential. At this stage of his career, a move to the Premier League would be ideal for him. It remains to be seen whether the two sides can agree on a contract.

Juventus are unlikely to stand in his way if a suitable offer is submitted. They could sign the player on a free transfer and make a good profit from him. According to a report in an Italian publication, Juventus want to sign Destiny Udoghi and Guglielmo Vicario, and it remains to be seen whether the two clubs will be able to put together a deal that will benefit all parties.
