Still, the latest news from TEAMtalk is that Newcastle are one of the clubs in talks to sign the England Under-21 international.
However, it remains to be seen whether their efforts will be successful, with Fabrizio Romano also recently speaking about Nwaneri’s future.
Arsenal still have faith in Ethan Nwaneri
There have been mixed reports about Nwaneri’s future, but the ever-reliable Romano insists Arsenal still have plenty of faith in the 19-year-old, despite a difficult 2025/26 season for him.
Nwaneri could still have a role in Mikel Arteta’s side and the teenager has long been highly regarded since developing through Arsenal’s youth set-up.

Romano has suggested that Arsenal have not yet made a firm decision on signing Nwaneri and that his future may be discussed in the future, with a loan move possibly being their preference.
This follows Nwaneri’s problems during his loan spell at Marseille, where he struggled for minutes after Roberto de Zerbi was sacked as manager shortly after his arrival.
Either way, if Nwaneri is available this summer, Newcastle could do well to sign him on a permanent loan.
The Magpies have just lost Anthony Gordon and Sandro Tonali’s future could also be in doubt, so that could mean there is room for Nwaneri to fill in either in midfield or in attack.
