Liverpool, who got their business back on track with the arrival of Victor Muñoz, are in talks to sign Andoni Iraola, a new La Liga star.
The Reds welcomed Muñoz at the request of Munoz, who is looking to reintroduce heavy metal football to Anfield after struggling in attack following the end of Arne Slott’s tenure.
To do that, a quick and direct winger needs to be on the agenda. That’s why Muñoz was brought in, and why Yann Diomande is Liverpool’s top target to replace Mohamed Salah on the right.
The Premier League giants are also likely to spend a lot of money.
Recent reports suggest that RB Leipzig are set to make a fresh offer for Diomande soon after rejecting their £87m bid. However, it remains to be seen whether their next offer will match the German club’s asking price.
Fabrizio Romano: ‘Liverpool are considering taking over Arsenal target instead of Diomande’
The Reds are set to spend big on another attacker after signing Victor Munoz.
It’s not just wingers they’re looking at. Iraola also believes Liverpool need reinforcements at right-back after Conor Bradley’s battle with injury and Jeremy Frimpong’s difficult debut season at Anfield.
Liverpool hold talks to sign La Liga star
According to Anfield Index, Liverpool are in talks with Adrei Latiu’s camp over a potential move this summer, with Michael Edwards aiming to sign him for less than his €25 million release clause.
Rayo Vallecano could reportedly accept an offer of around 20 million euros (approximately 1.7 billion yen), which would be an absolute bargain to solve the Reds’ right-back problem.
But with a price like this, it’s only natural that other suitors will emerge. Barcelona are looking to strengthen their backline, which could result in them competing with Liverpool to sign Latiu this summer.
Whether that accelerates Liverpool’s move is now a big question, especially considering the release clause in his contract is something any team can trigger.

These figures show exactly why the 28-year-old is attracting attention from Europe’s biggest clubs.
He put up recovery numbers last season, stepping forward to create for the team at times and would thrive in Iraola’s team. At up to £22 million, Latiu would be an absolute bargain for Liverpool this summer.
