Tottenham manager Roberto De Zerbi is reportedly ready to push Luka Vuskowicz towards the exit in a surprise move this summer.

Vusković was very impressive during his loan spell at Hamburg, but the talented young Croatian does not appear to be in De Zerbi’s plans.

That’s according to Football Insider, who point out that they have recently named Vuskovic as a target for Liverpool.

Vuskovic could command a transfer fee of around £86 million, with previous reports of interest from Liverpool and Chelsea.

Surprisingly, De Zerbi appears to be willing to let Vuskovic go this summer, with Football Insider pointing out that Spurs have brought in more experienced defenders in Marcos Senesi and Jan-Paul van Hecke.

What’s next for Luka Vusković?

Vuskovic looks like one of the most exciting young defenders in Europe at the moment, so it’s a bit puzzling that Tottenham don’t seem to have any intention of using him.

The 19-year-old could be a great addition to De Zerbi’s side to help them improve next season, and some imagine he could also find a job at a big club like Liverpool or Chelsea.

It’s hard to understand why Spurs would want to part with this talent at all, especially if rival clubs are interested.

Perhaps THFC are under financial pressure to make a sale of this magnitude, but perhaps Vusković himself is reluctant to return to the club after consecutive 17th-place finishes in the Premier League.

Following the departure of Ibrahima Konate, Liverpool are in dire need of reinforcements at the top of their defense, but Virgil van Dijk is also starting to show his age.

Meanwhile, Chelsea would also certainly benefit from signing a player better than Tosin Adarabioyo or Trevoo Chalobah, and Vuskovic is the kind of young talent they would definitely want to invest in.
