Evan Ndicka has been linked with a move from AS Roma and is likely to move to the Premier League.

According to Sports Boom, Tottenham Hotspur and Newcastle United are keeping a close eye on the 26-year-old defender and could consider a move in the coming weeks.

He is a reliable defender for the Italian club and has the qualities to succeed in the Premier League. Manager Jose Mourinho praised Ndicka’s “excellent” performances in the past.

Roberto De Zerbi is looking to add depth to his defence, and signing the Ivory Coast international could be ideal. He is at the peak of his career and could make an immediate impact in the Premier League.

The 26-year-old has the pace and physicality to thrive in high-line and pressing systems. He could be an ideal fit for Italy’s style of football. Ndicka is very capable with the ball at his feet and is technically gifted. Tottenham would do well to secure his signature.

Cristian Romero is rumored to be leaving the club, and a suitable replacement needs to be found. It remains to be seen whether they can convince Roma to sell the player.

Tottenham had a very poor performance at the back last season, finishing 17th in the league. They will bounce back strongly next season and compete for the top spot. They need to tighten up at the back and signing a quality defender like the Ivorian would be a step in the right direction.

Similarly, Newcastle need to tighten up at the back. They need long-term replacements for players like Dan Byrne and Fabian Schaal. It remains to be seen whether they can convince the Roma defender to join the club.
