Fabrizio Romano talks about Newcastle’s signing of Victor Munoz
Romano told X: “Newcastle are confident of signing Víctor Muñoz immediately after the official bid was sent today for a package in excess of €30 million. Real Madrid have a 50% sell-on and buy-back clause, but #NUFC We are optimistic that we can proceed quickly.”
Newcastle fans will no doubt be hoping that Eddie Howe’s side need reinforcements following the blow of losing Gordon after an already difficult season at St James’ Park and that this can be completed as quickly as Romano has suggested.

NUFC lost Alexander Isak last summer and the signing to replace him didn’t go very well. The club was unable to repeat the success of the 2024-25 season, when they won the Carabao Cup final and qualified for the Champions League.
Munoz appears to be the right man to get Newcastle back on track, but one imagines the club will also need to keep working on finding talent who can take this team to the next level after a few up-and-down years.
