Yann Diomande has been linked with a move from RB Leipzig in the summer transfer window.

Liverpool want to sign the player, but an offer of 100 million euros has been rejected. They remain keen to sign the 19-year-old and are expected to return with an improved offer.

Fabrizio Romano says the German club have no intention of allowing him to leave this summer and want him to sign a new contract with a release clause. They would be willing to let him live until the summer of 2027.

However, Liverpool consider him a ‘top target’ and are prepared to complete a deal. Romano insists the player is “really tempted” to move on this summer. It remains to be seen whether Liverpool can persuade the German club with an attractive offer.

€100m is a lot of money for an unproven talent, but the market is swollen for promising young players and they will need to improve their offer to make a deal happen.

It’s no secret that Liverpool need more quality in their wings, and the 19-year-old could transform the team in attack. He is great at playing against defenders and beating them in one-on-one situations. He will further develop his speed, flair and technical ability in a wide range of areas. Diomande contributed 23 goals for Leipzig last season.

Mohamed Salah left the club so we need to fill them properly. The Ivory Coast international could be the ideal long-term replacement for the club legend.
