Newcastle United are reportedly keeping an eye on Brighton midfielder Yassin Ayari.

The 21-year-old has had a very good run with the Seagulls in the Premier League and has also performed well at the World Cup with Sweden.

Newcastle are monitoring his situation closely and could consider a move in the summer.

According to Football Insider, Sandro Tonali could be leaving the club and the club are considering Ayali as a possible replacement.

Director Pete O’Rourke said:

“Ideally, Eddie Howe wants to bring in players who have a proven track record in the Premier League and can come in and hit the ground running, and Ayari would fit that type of player.

“He is a talented player and has always done a good job at Brighton, where he has attracted interest in the past.

“Now he has done a great job representing Sweden at the World Cup, scoring two great goals and increasing his reputation as well.”

The Sweden international may be excited about the prospect of joining Newcastle. They have ambitious projects and the resources to build a strong team.

However, Brighton will not want to lose the young midfielder so easily. He is very involved in their future plans and has a bright future ahead of them. He could develop into a star for the club.

Brighton also have exciting projects and will not want to weaken their squad by selling the 21-year-old.

Newcastle may have to pay well above the odds to convince the Seagulls.

It remains to be seen how the situation will develop.

Ayali is a hard-working midfielder who will create chances, score goals and contribute defensively. He has all the attributes to develop into a complete central midfielder.

It remains to be seen whether Newcastle can persuade him to join the club in the coming weeks.
