According to the Daily Mail, further negotiations are expected, which could see City sign Anderson for a record £130m.
According to the newspaper, this would exceed the current British transfer record of £125 million, which Liverpool paid when they brought Alexander Isak from Newcastle last summer.
According to the Mail, Manchester United were also interested in signing Anderson, but City now appear to be moving towards a deal.

After failing to win the Premier League title for the second year in a row and with legendary manager Josep Guardiola stepping down at the end of the season, it’s no surprise that City are ready to commit to signing such a major statement.
Anderson is a world-class player who showed immense quality during his time at Forest and went on to become a key player in the England national team.
