Leeds United appear to be wasting time in the summer transfer window, with the signing of Harry Wilson appearing to be just the start of a major signing.
According to Sky Sports, Leeds have agreed to sign the Wales international on a free transfer after his contract with Fulham expires at the end of June.
Wilson had an excellent 2025/26 season, scoring 11 goals and providing eight assists for Fulham, so signing him for free looks like smart business.
The deal still requires a medical, but Leeds appear well placed to make him one of their first big additions of the summer.
Leeds United aim for further creativity after signing Wilson
Wilson’s arrival will give Daniel Farke a further boost to his quality in the Premier League, but Leeds are not expected to stop there.
The Daily Mail reports that Leeds are considering signing Julian Brandt, who is set to leave Borussia Dortmund as a free agent.
Blount would be an ambitious signing. The German playmaker has Champions League experience, technical quality and the ability to play between the lines.
His wages may be a challenge, but if Leeds can make the numbers work, signing two proven attackers on a free transfer would be a big statement.
Shay Charles is also a player that Coach Falke is keeping an eye on.
Leeds are also eyeing a move for Southampton midfielder Shay Charles.
Leeds All Over report that Leeds paid more than £20m for the 22-year-old, but Southampton’s struggles last season could have an impact on the situation.
Leeds are moving in the right direction. Wilson is a smart free transfer, Blount brings real class and Charles will add long-term value.
The key is balance. Leeds need quality but cannot afford reckless spending.
If they can combine smart free agent trades with one or two young investments, this could be a very strong window.
