New: Arsenal and Chelsea have secured new transfer opportunities, confirmed exclusively on Nicopass

The likes of Arsenal and Chelsea are set to take another chance to sign Argentine playmaker Nico Paz, who will return to Real Madrid under a buy-back clause.

Paz has shone during his time at Como and we reported a few months ago that Real’s plan was to bring him back to the Bernabéu this summer.

This was confirmed today by Fabrizio Romano, who wrote in X about Madrid informing Serie A clubs of their decision, who also suggested that Pas would be on the market for around 60 million euros.

Interestingly, Romano has made it clear that Paz will be “on the market again” after his return to Madrid, and while Como could sign him permanently for €60 million, other clubs could face an even higher payout.

Is there another chance for Arsenal and Chelsea to move Nicopas?

Interestingly, this update differs slightly from what we were previously told, which was that Paz would be returned to Madrid as a key player in the first team.

Arsenal and Chelsea reportedly investigated the 21-year-old’s situation but were told he would be unavailable. Things seem to have changed now, perhaps due to the surprise return of Jose Mourinho as manager, which signals a clear change in direction in terms of recruitment.

It is clear that Mourinho’s return is part of an overall strategic shift in favor of experience, both in the managers brought in and in the players who will work under him, such as Bernardo Silva, Marc Cucurella, Ibrahima Konate and Denzel Dumfries.

This means that unless something dramatic happens in the coming weeks, there is no room for Pass to feature, which could be used by the likes of Arsenal and Chelsea to make another attempt to sign him.

It’s clear that the young South American player won’t come cheap, but he is highly rated and there will be no shortage of suitors willing to spend big on him.
