Chelsea and Crystal Palace have done quite well in recent years, and that doesn’t look like changing anytime soon.
Both clubs are currently negotiating for a central defender, and there is a possibility that a change of players could be expected. Chelsea insider Simon Phillips’ article on the Blues’ plans to sign Trevor Chalobah reveals all.
Chelsea and Palace reach a transfer agreement
The defender spent two years on loan at Palace and impressed immensely before being recalled. Chelsea are currently interested in making the move permanent, while also hoping to sign Maxence Lacroix from the Eagles.
The obvious solution is for each side to sign the other’s defender. You can also increase the asking price of each other for a small PSR boost. Of course, it won’t be easy to pull it off and both players will need to be keen on the move, but it’s easy to imagine both sides exploring the idea.
Lacroix was just eliminated from the World Cup last night, but Charova is still with England. That has slowed things down, but the next few weeks are going to be very interesting.
In other news…
West Ham are likely to be forced to sell following relegation, with another experienced Premier League defender potentially on the move.
Christos Tzoris is Arsenal’s main target and would be available at a fairly reasonable price for a player of his caliber.
