Dominik Szoboszlai is a key figure for Liverpool’s present and future
With all the hardships Liverpool have endured over the past year or so, retaining a consistent top performer like Szoboszlai is undoubtedly important.

There was also some upheaval, with big names such as Trent Alexander-Arnold, Mohamed Salah, Ibrahima Konate and Andrew Robertson leaving the club, and Arne Slott being sacked as manager at the end of the 2025/26 season.
There is clearly a need for some stability and Szoboszlai should provide that, as the former RB Leipzig player is now someone new manager Andoni Iraola can center around.
Losing Szoboszlai would have been a huge blow, especially since it looks like he could have strengthened another major European club that could potentially compete with Liverpool in the Champions League for years to come.
