The England international, who is currently playing in the 2026 World Cup with Thomas Tuchel’s side, has scored 14 goals and provided 10 assists in all competitions for Barça, but Barça appear to have decided not to keep him.
According to X-Post’s Fabrizio Romano below, Rashford could be linked with Carrick at Old Trafford during pre-season, but reports linking the 28-year-old with a move to Turkey are untrue…
Romano posted: “Manchester United are planning for Marcus Rashford to return to pre-season training as manager Carrick wants to work with him. A departure is still possible, but only if a top European club makes a bid. A move to Turkey is not planned.”

Our understanding is that Rashford has recently attracted interest from PSG and AC Milan, but this interest has not progressed to anything more concrete.
Marcus Rashford’s return to Manchester United makes sense
Given Rashford’s improvement in form since leaving United for a change of scenery, now might be the right time to reintroduce him into the team.
Rashford fell out of favor with former manager Ruben Amorim and before that he suffered a dip in form under Erik ten Hag, but perhaps Carrick could help him get back to his best form.
Rashford is a quality player on this day, as he showed at Barcelona, so it would certainly be wise to mend this relationship and see if he can contribute something to this team again.
