Jorel Hato has been linked with a move from Chelsea this summer.
According to recent reports, the 20-year-old defender has offers from two clubs including Manchester United and Arsenal. It will be interesting to see if they make a move to sign him in the coming weeks.
The Dutch international is highly regarded across Europe and he could be a quality long-term investment for both clubs.
Manchester United could use more depth in their defense and the 20-year-old would be a very useful option. He can play both as a full-back and as a central defender. He could develop into a quality player for them.
Hato could be Luke Shaw’s ideal long-term successor at Old Trafford.
Arsenal, on the other hand, already have a top-level defensive unit. The 20-year-old may struggle to earn regular minutes at the London club. He should consider joining a club where he can play every week.
Chelsea Chronicle reported: “Chelsea’s young defender Jorel Hato has received offers through intermediaries from Premier League rivals Manchester United and Arsenal in the summer transfer window. Despite only being 20 years old, the Dutch international is very keen to play in next season’s UEFA Champions League.”
According to reports, Hato is keen to qualify for next season’s UEFA Champions League. Both Manchester United and Arsenal could offer him that opportunity. It remains to be seen where he will end up.
He has struggled to get minutes at Chelsea and it is no surprise that the player is open to leaving. Hato played just over 1,100 minutes in league play last season. However, no official offer has been made yet.
