Fabrizio Romano: “Real Madrid’s bid for Yann Diomande has been rejected”

Transfer official Fabrizio Romano has revealed that Real Madrid have made an official opening offer to RB Leipzig worth a €90 million advance fee, plus €10 million in potential add-ons.

However, the Bundesliga club immediately rejected the bid as it wanted well over 100 million euros. According to reports, Leipzig value the winger at close to 130 million euros.

Despite the initial refusal, Real Madrid continue to actively negotiate with Leipzig executives to find a solution.

Meanwhile, PSG have been in negotiations with the German club for several weeks and have already agreed personal terms with the player, but no agreement has yet been reached between the clubs.

“Real Madrid sent a formal bid of 100 million euros to RB Leipzig this week. There are add-on offers of 90 million euros and 10 million euros on the table. RB Leipzig refused because they wanted more than 100 million euros for Diomande’s departure. Real are still in negotiations. 🔴🔵PSG have been negotiating for several weeks but have not yet reached an agreement with RB.”

According to some reports, Arsenal are even willing to make a big-money move for Diomande after losing Morgan Rodgers to Chelsea, and are making inquiries to find out if the deal stands.

Liverpool have also been linked with Diomande as a replacement for Mo Salah.

They made an impressive offer for their star forward last season before negotiations stalled over valuation, showing they could go all out if needed.

With PSG reluctant to meet Leipzig’s high asking price, Premier League suitors were hoping to take advantage of the impasse.

However, Real Madrid’s aggressive push and financial clout poses a serious stumbling block for both English clubs as Los Blancos aim to sign new world-class talent for their attacking line-up.
