  • After opening five games, the villa did not win
  • Watkins must start firing after a bad start

Troy Deaney denounced Aston Villa’s “ego” issue and called out one of Unai Emery’s main players after a dry form of spell last weekend.

After opening five games, the villa did not win

Few fans predicted Villa would be in the Premier League relegation zone after the first five games, but now loses two innings in third place and scores one goal in the process before 18th place.

Most recently, the Villians have been short of Wright’s stadiums, pulling 1-1 despite Sunderland’s falling to 10 in the first half.

The issue continues to be mounted on Villa Parks and has since been confirmed that sports director Monki is due to leave. This could be another major blow for Emery amid widespread speculation surrounding the manager’s future.

As mentioned before, one of the main problems with the villa up to this stage was that it didn’t score a goal, and Ollie Watkins has yet to find the backstage of the net. Deeney has now picked out the strikers for criticism.

The former Birmingham man said: “The biggest issues are the lack of goals, the lack of goals from Ollie at the moment.

“In this moment you are the only striker there, you are the person they are aiming for, and because of the start of the season, you are not delivering.

We’ve also added Talksport Pundit. “At this point, he just overlooks it and looks comfortable.”

Not only is Deeney not impressed with the launch of Watkins’ campaign, but she is also worried that Villa may have an “ego” issue. “It’s weird. I thought maybe (Jadon) Sancho and (Harvey) Elliott would come in, but I thought there was a bit more dynamism to it. However, they don’t have them close to the starting lineup, so they should not fit well. It’s now ego-something, player-driven ego-something. ”

“I think the manager is a very good manager, but you’re starting to watch now and why are players trying to play on the pitch? Why isn’t Morgan Rodgers the focus?”

Watkins must start firing after a bad start

While there cannot be denied that Villa Striker is a great servant, earning 87 goals and 42 assists in 229 games, he denied that he again had an inadequate performance against Sunderland.

England International missed one big chance, touching the ball just 16 times during the match and finishing with a sofa score match rating of just 6.3.

To be fair, responsibility isn’t just about to begin improvements, not just the former Brentford man, and fellow key player Morgan Rodgers also failed to register an assist this semester.

It’s a dangerous tactic for Emery to publicly criticize players, but when the Europa League campaign faces Bologna on Thursday, he hopes to get a response from his side.
