Napoli striker Victor Osimhen reportedly is waiting for Manchester United, who dreams of playing in the Premier League.

The future of Nigeria International remains uncertain after last season’s Lone Spelling at Galatasaray, and players certainly aren’t likely to return to Napoli.

However, Osimhen worked well in Turkey, but had a great record of 40 goals and six assists in all club and country competitions in the 2024/25 campaign.

According to Gazzetta Dello Sport, Osimhen is currently on the verge of a dream transfer to the Premier League, with Man UTD being mentioned as a specific potential destination.

The report says Osimhen approached Chelsea last year, but it appears they are no longer in the mix, probably due to the recent confirmation of Liam Dellup’s signature from Ipswichtown.

Victor Osimhen and Manchester United look like a good fit

Osimhen and Man utd look like they need each other right now.

Gazetta reports that Osimchen appears to be turning his mind to highly competitive European clubs as Alfredo Pedula’s travel to Saudi Arabia through Italy collapsed.

The Premier League is widely regarded as the pinnacle in that sense, and United were able to appeal to the 26-year-old, despite going through difficult times.

Man United to make up for changes ahead

Last season was a nightmare for MUFC and it’s clear that Reuben Amorim has problems with his offense.

Matheus Cunha is already on board, and Bryan Mbeumo could be next, and the central striker has also become a priority so that Ramus Hojlund can leave.

Osimhen’s prolific record in Italy and Turkey shows that he could only need Amorim to get this team back on track next season.
