Wimbledon, UK – Slovakian Mia Pohankova won the Wimbledon Juniors title on Saturday by beating US sixth seed Julieta Pareja, 6-3, 6-1.

Pohankova, 16, defeated his opponent six times in the first place court to secure his first junior grand slam title.

She is the second Slovakian to win the title after last year’s Renata Jamlikova.

“It’s an incredible moment (An) as Renata won last year and two Slovak girls won two (straight) years,” Pohankova said. “It’s hard to believe it for tennis in Slovak.”

In the boys doubles final, Finland’s Oscalypal Danius and Polish’s Alan Wazny defeated British Oliver Bonding and US Jaguar Reach 5-7, 7-6 (6), 10-5 after the championship tiebreaker.

Leach is the son of Lindsey Davenport, who won the Wimbledon Women’s Singles title in 1999.

In Sunday’s Boys Finals, Bulgaria’s sixth seed Ivan Ivanov will face American qualifiers Ronit Karki.
