Newcastle United and Eddie Howe reportedly dropped out of the race to sign Hugo Echicchique and now focused on clinical alternative options than the French.

Newcastle’s current list of potential strikers

Ekitique sat at the top of the striker’s nominee list before Liverpool left him in the race and caught up, but Newcastle still has many options. The striker market is widely open. Liverpool will still lead the race for Ekitique, even after seeing Joao Pedro join Chelsea.

That said, even Howe couldn’t hide his frustration about how the transfer window has done so far on Tyneside, and could not tell reporters:It was a difficult summer (to turn it off) when everything was happening behind the scenes. ”

“We obviously lost all the dynamics that change within Paul (Mitchell) and (club). As the role of the sports director is a vital role in the club, there was a lot of (of the job) to pick up.

“We are happy to have Anthony Elanga, who has done so well in training so far, but a lot of the work is unwise.

Howe’s verdict suggests that Newcastle’s work is far from this summer. After missing the Ekichike, everyone involved in St. James Park will be desperate to ensure that the next chase will disappear intermittently – as some reports suggest, whether for Wissa, Darwinnes of Liverpool.

At this stage, the most ideal scenario for Newcastle is to welcome strikers who are better than Ekitique.

How personally plots Sesko Move

As reported by Bootroom’s Graeme Bailey, Howe is currently planning a move to sign Newcastle’s Benjamin Sesco.

The Magpie will have to spend a lot again to secure his signature, reportedly Leipzig has asked for around 90 million euros (£78 million) to sell the star striker, but Sesco proves to be worth every penny.

Ekitike may have outperformed Sesko last season, but the latter proved to be a more clinical finisher. That would suggest that Sesco’s numbers will soar on the side that offers him more opportunities.

It’s no surprise that the talented forward has won previous acclaim from things like former Leipzig technical director Christopher Vivel. “Benjamin šeško is one of the top young talents in the game and has great potential to become a top player.

“He has all the qualities to do that. He’s very fast, he’s making a big jump on him and is strong in the air. Benjamin is a real scorer and despite being 1.95m (6’4”), he’s still mobile and technically strong. His abilities make him a special player with a special profile. ”
