  • Gueye could be West Ham’s “exciting” signature

West Ham United is currently taking an approach to signing “exciting” strikers, according to the report.

Hammer closes the contract to sign Wilson

Graham Potter will need to bring in a new striker as Missil Antonio is due to leave this summer despite being rehabed at West Ham, and Callum Wilson is currently locked up on a move to London Stadium and agrees to his personal terms.

Wilson will be available for free transfers upon expiration of the British Newcastle United contract. This means he’s a low-risk addition to the team, but there could be legitimate concerns about the striker’s injury record.

The 33-year-old suffers from persistent injuries in Newcastle. So it’s questionable whether the veteran forward is a good deal for Irons as he couldn’t score one Premier League goal last season.

There may also be concerns about Wilson’s age, given that Hammer is well known to have had the oldest team in the previous Premier League. The former Newcastle striker is undoubtedly in the Twilight years of his career.

As a result, it makes sense to chase after the young striker alongside Wilson, and a new report reveals that West Ham has now made his first move to sign a new center forward.

Certainly, reports from Football Insider show Hammer is currently taking the approach of signing FC Mets striker Idrissa Gay, but there could be tough competition for the 18-year-old signature.

Hammers aren’t the only clubs I’m interested in…

Within the UK, Liverpool, Crystal Palace, Brighton & Hove Albion and others have asked about their contracts with Gueye, but there is also a lot of interest from overseas.

Amid widespread interest in teenager signing, the Mets hopes to receive a fee of around £17 million. This means he is a relatively low-cost addition to Potter’s team.

Gueye could be West Ham’s “exciting” signature

Scout Ben Matinson clearly believes that the starlet praised him as “exciting” and that the Mets Ace has already become eye-catching in League Two.

The Mets achieved promotion to League One in the previous term, and once Senegal International made a real impact, earning five goals and one assist in 17 appearances during the regular season.

The Mets director also spoke lovingly about Senegale’s gems, comparing him to former Arsenal striker Olivier Giroud.

West Ham was able to bring in a young striker this summer. Niklas Fullkrag is currently 32 years old and Antonio is set to leave London Stadium, with the gays potentially an exciting long-term addition to Potter’s team.
