Liverpool will be able to move Real Madrid forward Rodrigo during the summer transfer period.
According to football insiders, they could approach the 24-year-old Brazilian if they couldn’t secure Newcastle United striker Alexander Isaac. Rodrigo has slipped through the pecking order at Real Madrid and he now has to leave the club looking for normal playing time. A move to Liverpool could prove to be the ideal solution for him.
Rodrigo Goes linked to travel to the UK
The Brazilian has linked to several Premier League clubs this summer, and it will be interesting to see where he will ultimately go. The report revealed that Rodrigo has already been in touch with Liverpool goalkeeper Alison Becker regarding a potential switch to Anfield. However, it remains to be seen whether Liverpool will make a concrete offer to secure his services.
At just 24 years old, Rodrigo has already established himself in Real Madrid, won major trophies and gained incredibly valuable experience at the highest level. He combines physical presence and technical quality to operate beyond the forefront and has the attributes necessary to compete in the Premier League. His arrival will provide Liverpool with a huge offensive boost.
Rodrigo needs game time
Rodrigo is at the peak of his career and needs a consistent minute on the pitch. If Liverpool can offer him a regular role, this could be the perfect move at the right stage of his development. He has already demonstrated his quality in the LA La Liga and has the ability to thrive in British football. He has been labelled in the past as a “special” player.
Liverpool remains one of the largest clubs in the world, and the possibility of participating in them will certainly be an exciting opportunity for Brazilians. But much will depend on how Alexander Isaac’s pursuit unfolds in the coming days. The Reds must be craving a proven attacker, and if they fail to land Swedish International, they are expected to shift their focus firmly to Rodrigo.
